On Cue Players - Chelsea Hartmann |
|
Chelsea Hartmann has been acting since she was seven years old. She has performed everything from improvisation, to musicals, to mime and has appeared in numerous small skits for community events and cast in elementary school Christmas plays. I was involved in Missoula Children’s Theatre from Grade 1 to Grade 7, and landed a lead part in my last year there. I’ve had extensive speech arts training with Tina Watchorn for 5 years, winning numerous awards at the Pacific Northwest Music Festival, including the Most Outstanding Intermediate Performer in 2005, and been given the chance to compete at the Speech Arts Provincials in Victoria from 2003 to 2006. I was an elf in CallidaJunctura’s production of “Santa Claus and the Wicked Wazoo”. I’ve been an Alcan Christmas elf for Alcan’s annual Christmas parties since 2003 as “Magic”. I’ve been involved in Mount Elizabeth Secondary School’s Drama Club and participated in the Northwest High School Drama Zones for 3 years. Recently, at the last Drama Zone in Smithers, I was cast in two plays and received Best Supporting Actress for my role as “Jenny” in “Remembrance” by John Rowe. I joined the Senior Theatre Class of 2006/2007 at Mount Elizabeth Secondary School and was cast as “Paula”, a southern belle, in “Murder’s in the Heir”. I received the school award for Best Actress 2007 for my role as “Paula” as well. Currently I am playing the part of “Princess Marigold” in “The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe” for On-Cue Players, and I am in the process of being casted for the January 2008 production of “Grease”, performed by the Senior Musical Theatre class at M.E.S.S. I love acting and plan on pursuing a career in Broadcast Journalism after graduation! |
