On Cue Players - Josh Murdoch

I am 17 years old and am in my last year of high school, I was born in Edmonton, but moved to Kitimat when I was 5. I have always enjoyed acting and did a little of it when I was in elementary, I played the locksmith in "Alice and the Wonderland" . I took the all the drama courses I could throughout high school but wasn’t really involved in it. Then in grade 10 socials, I got stuck beside this kid named Michael Horianopoulos, and he suggested I check out the drama club at M.E.S.S which I'd never heard of before. So I did and I haven’t looked back since, I have participated in 3 plays since then. "Can I have your Attention, Please?", "Learning To Flirt", and "Murders in the Heir". I am currently in two plays, Wrack in the On Cue production, and Doody in the high school production, "Grease".

I knew doing this play would be tons of fun, and it has lived up to its expectations. Ever since I was in Mrs. Watchorn’s grade 8 english class she has begged me to be in the speech arts festival with her as my "coach". So last year i finally gave in and Michael Horianopuolos and myself joined in together to win 1st place in the competition, which actually was pretty exciting which exceeded its expectations. Even though I had never worked with Mrs. Watchorn in a play production I knew from my last experience with her that it was going to be hard work despite the fun. I must say that the hard work has been paying off as we go through and that I don’t regret a minute. I must also thank Mrs. Watchorn for begging me all those years or else I'd probably be sitting on my coach doing absolutely nothing. I plan to continue more plays in my future and never stop.
