On Cue Players - John Rowe

John has been involved in theatre since he was in high school. He was an active member of the Bulkley Valley Players in Smithers, before go to Malaspina University-College to complete the Technical Theatre Program.

 

 For the past 17 years he has been working as a professional stage manager, lighting designer and technician, set designer, stage carpenter, sound technician, and is presently the technical director of the Mount Elizabeth Theatre.

 

John ventured onto the stage during his acting classes at Mal-U and in the Nanaimo Festival’s production of Alma Victoria.

 

John has directed such plays as Tremulous, Awkward Silence, Flaky Lips and Emotional Baggage, and wrote and directed Remembrance for the Mount Elizabeth Players, the high school drama club. His previous experience with On Cue has been as the set designer for The Old Woman That Lived in a Shoe, The Smell of the Kill and My Darling Judith.
