|
Kerri Weightman has lived in Kitimat for most of her life as is a graduate of Mount Elizabeth Secondary School. While in high school she studied drama and acting culminating with the grade 12 production of “Ghost Chasers.” Kerri has also worked as a lifeguard for seven years at Sam Lindsey Memorial pool. In 2000 Kerri went to Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta and received her diploma in Physical Activity and Recreation. Kerri is now back living and working in Kitimat. Kerri and her husband John have a two sons. Kerri has been with On Cue Players for 3 years. Her first play with On Cue was “Cookin’ with Gus” in 2004, directed by Jerry Stubbing. Kerri had the fun and wacky part playing a gypsy. It was a great initiation into the world of Adult Theatre. In the spring of 2005 Kerri worked backstage for On Cue’s production of “My Darling Judith” assisting with props. In the latest production “The Smell of the Kill” directed by Tina Watchorn in the fall of 2006 Kerri played a housewife who was controlled and stalked by her husband who did not want to have children because it would take away from him being the center of her world. The part was both funny and sad. Kerri is very much looking forward to future On Cue Players productions now that she has established her acting abilities. |
